ब्रह्ममुरारिसुरार्चितलिङ्गम् निर्मलभासितशोभितलिङ्गम् ।
जन्मजदुःखविनाशकलिङ्गम् तत् प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम् ॥१॥
उस सदाशिवलिंगको मैं प्रणाम करता हूं जो शाश्वत शिव है, जिनकी अर्चना स्वयं ब्रह्मा, विष्णु और अन्य देवता करते हैं, जो निर्मल, सुशोभित है और जो जन्मके दुखोंका विनाश करती है |
(I salute the everlasting Shiva who is eternal Shiva, who is worshiped by Brahma, Vishnu and other gods, who is clean, graceful and who destroys the sufferings of birth.)
देवमुनिप्रवरार्चितलिङ्गम् कामदहम् करुणाकरलिङ्गम् ।
रावणदर्पविनाशनलिङ्गम् तत् प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम् ॥२॥
उस शाश्वत एवं करुणाकर सदाशिवलिंगको मैं प्रणाम करता हूं जिनकी अर्चना देवता, ऋषि-मुनि करते हैं, जिन्होंने कामदेवका दहन किया एवं जिन्होंने रावणके अहंकारको नष्ट किया |
(I bow down to the eternal and compassionate Sadashivalinga who is worshiped by the deity, the sage-sage, who burnt Kamadeva and who destroyed Ravan's ego.)
सर्वसुगन्धिसुलेपितलिङ्गम् बुद्धिविवर्धनकारणलिङ्गम् ।
सिद्धसुरासुरवन्दितलिङ्गम् तत् प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम् ॥३॥
उन सदाशिवलिंगको प्रणाम करती हूं जो सदैव सुगंधमय, सुलेपित, बुधिवर्धक, सिद्धों, सुरों, असुरोंद्वारा पूजित है|
(I salute that everlasting who is always worshiped by perfumery, Sulpit, Buddha, Siddhas, Suras, Asuras.)
कनकमहामणिभूषितलिङ्गम् फणिपतिवेष्टितशोभितलिङ्गम् ।
दक्षसुयज्ञविनाशनलिङ्गम् तत् प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम् ॥४॥
उस सदशिवलिंगको प्रणाम करता हूं जो स्वर्ण तथा महामणिसे भूषित है, सर्पराजद्वारा शोभित होनेके कारण दैदीप्यमान है, दक्षयज्ञको विनाश करनेवाला है |
(I bow to the sadshivalinga who is carved with gold and great sage, resplendent due to the grace of the snake king, destroyer of king daksh's yagya.)
कुङ्कुमचन्दनलेपितलिङ्गम् पङ्कजहारसुशोभितलिङ्गम् ।
सञ्चितपापविनाशनलिङ्गम् तत् प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम् ॥५॥
उस सदशिवलिंगको प्रणाम करता हूं जो कुकुंम, चंदनके लेपसे सुशोभित, कमलोंके हारसे सुसज्जित, संचित पापोंके विनाशक है |
(I salute the Sadhivalinga who is adorned with a coat of sandalwood, sandalwood, decorated with lotus necklace, destroyer of accumulated sins.)
देवगणार्चितसेवितलिङ्गम् भावैर्भक्तिभिरेव च लिङ्गम् ।
दिनकरकोटिप्रभाकरलिङ्गम् तत् प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम् ॥६॥
उस सदशिवलिंगको प्रणाम करता हूं जो देवगणोंद्वारा अर्चित, सेवित है, जिसे भाव और भक्तिसे प्राप्त किया जा सकता है एवं जो करोडों सूर्यके सामान प्रकाशवान है |
(I salute the Sadhivalinga, who is worshiped by the gods, who can be attained with emotion and devotion, and who is as bright as millions of suns.)
अष्टदलोपरिवेष्टितलिङ्गम् सर्वसमुद्भवकारणलिङ्गम् ।
अष्टदरिद्रविनाशितलिङ्गम् तत् प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम् ॥७॥
उस सदशिवलिंगको प्रणाम करता हूं जो अष्टदलसे परिवेष्टित, समस्त जगतकी उत्पतिका कारण, अष्ट दरिद्रका नाशक है |
(I bow to the Sadhivalinga, who is entrapped by the Astdal, the cause of the entire world.)
सुरगुरुसुरवरपूजितलिङ्गम् सुरवनपुष्पसदार्चितलिङ्गम् ।
परात्परं परमात्मकलिङ्गम् तत् प्रणमामि सदाशिवलिङ्गम् ॥८॥
उस सदशिवलिंगको प्रणाम करता हूं ओ देवताओंके गुरु द्वारा, श्रेष्ठ देवताओंद्वारा एवं देवों के वनके पुष्पद्वारा पूजित है, जो परात्पर, परमात्म स्वरूपी लिंग है |
(I salute that sadshiva lingam, which is worshiped by the guru of the gods, by the superior deities and the flower of the deities, which is the divine, divine form.)
लिङ्गाष्टकमिदं पुण्यं यः पठेत् शिवसन्निधौ ।
शिवलोकमवाप्नोति शिवेन सह मोदते ॥
जो इस पवित्र लिंगाष्टकको पढता है शिवके सान्निध्यको, शिव लोकको प्राप्त कर शिवके साथ प्रसन्नताको प्राप्त होता है |
